How To Participate

The Vanduul are more than just a terrifying force in Squadron 42: They have their own language, culture, and stories… and now they even have a challenge for you!

We’re calling on all aspiring warriors, linguists, and voice actors to test their skills in the Vanduul Interpreter Contest! Your mission is clear: record yourself pronouncing the six following authentic Vanduul phrases, and prove that you can sound just as fierce as the real thing.

Ferocious Vanduul Scythes await those who can master the guttural growls and sharp tones of the UEE’s greatest threat.

• :movie_camera: Record: Capture yourself interpreting the six Vanduul sentences, as accurately as you can just like a Vanduul would!
• :scroll: Prepare: Edit your video and host it on YouTube in clear and high quality. The video must not exceed one minute.
• :outbox_tray: Submit: Post your video to the Community Hub with the title “Vanduul Interpreter”

Keep In Mind!

• Read the ⁠contest rules
• You must be subscribed to the Squadron 42 Newsletter
• Post-processing effects are allowed
• Group submissions are not allowed
• Multiple submissions are not allowed
• Posts must have “Vanduul Interpreter” as their title to be eligible
• Submissions must be at least 1920×1080 resolution
• The video length must not exceed one (1) minute, and you must read the six Vanduul phrases
• Music/sound/effects should not infringe on any third-party copyright. This means you’re able to use originally created/sourced music/effects, or official Star Citizen or Squadron 42 music/effects
• Post your video to the Community Hub. Replies to this thread will NOT count as a submission
• Your submissions must include the Squadron 42 ‘⁠⁠Made By The Community’ logo

Winning Conditions

The CIG jury will judge your submissions on the following:

• Quality of the interpretation
• Creativity shown in the video, revealing your face is not mandatory
• Rule Adherence
