RSI Launcher 2.1.0 Release Notes

Updated to this launcher. Later today, I received and swapped out two M.2 NVME drives (one of the originals held the RSI folder with game + launcher). Old RSI game drive was a 2TB Seagate 530 Firecuda. New drive is a 8TB Western Digital SN850X.

Error 5007 every time I try to verify the game. Same thing happens when I try to download a fresh copy. It gets the base Data.p4k file downloaded, and error 5007.

I’ve tried copying over a backup. Creating the folders manually. Resetting the launcher. Uninstalling the launcher and clearing out the Roaming RSI folder and then starting from scratch. I’ve also tried installing the launcher and game from scratch on an Intel 905P that once had the game installed on it, and it fails with 5007 at the same spot.

I now cannot install SC LIVE or PTU on my primary PC. The weird thing is, I’ve had no issues with my backup PC where I put that 2TB Firecuda drive, and I copied over my RSI folder from a backup – no issues verifying the game.

EDIT – I think that I got it working now, as it’s now downloading more than just the data.p4k (and now verifying the backup copy). I used RevoUninstaller to both uninstall the RSI launcher and to clean out EVERYTHING, even the registry entries. I also used the Add Registry Entry portion of the troubleshooting KB – https://support.robertsspaceindustries.com/hc/en-us/articles/18119567477015-Windows-11-Installation-Troubleshooting (so I’m not sure which one fixed it)

Thank you for your feedback and the documentation of the workaround you used.
