I have a few questions about the Vulcan api.
Are there any new developments with Vulcan you can share?
How is multi threading coming along? Any new information here?
Since multithreading was originally expected to be apart of the initial Vulcan push in 3.23, when can we expect it to be implemented?
The Multithreading for Vulkan is already running internally in our dev branch and the results look very promising. We are seeing massive speedups in comparison to d3d on the RT.
Don’t forget that this doesn’t mean it will improve your framerate since we’re still mostly bottlenecked by the MT, but it will certainly have a positive effect.
We are integrating these changes into the main branch right now so there is a good chance it will be in the next big release.
