Happy Spooktober, Citizens!
Whip out your carving knives and paint brushes because, as part of our Day of the Vara celebrations, we’re bringing back a time-honored tradition – the Pumpkin Carving Contest! This year, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re expanding the contest to include both carved AND painted pumpkins! So gussy up your gourds and paint or whittle your way to the win, as there are some terror-ific prizes up for grabs.

Please post your submissions to the Day of the Vara 2954 event page on the Community Hub.
Use either ‘2024 Pumpkin Decorating Contest – Carved’> or ‘2024 Pumpkin Decorating Contest – Painted’ as the title for your submissions.
Submit your posts carefully, as posts edited after the submission deadline will not be considered. If you have made an error in the post, you can edit it provided this is done within the official duration of the contest.
An entry must feature an image of a Star Citizen-themed carved or painted pumpkin (or pumpkin substitutes if they are not easily available). Any other subject will be disqualified.
No image post-processing, special- or after-effects of any kind may be applied or performed on the photograph to create any submission, although the pumpkin may be photographed with decoration, arrangement, or lighting.Each unique pumpkin is considered a single entry, and you are allowed multiple entries.
You can submit entries to both categories, ‘Carved’ or ‘Painted’, but you can only win 1 prize.
Group submissions are NOT allowed.Any submission not following the above instructions will NOT be considered.

The prizes are as follows for each category (Carved/Painted):
:first_place_medal: 1st Place: Anvil Terrapin in-game ship with LTI (in-game lifetime insurance) + Purple Haze paint
:second_place_medal: 2nd Place: RSI Zeus Mk II ES in-game ship with LTI (in-game lifetime insurance) + Purple Haze paint
:third_place_medal: 3rd Place: GATAC Syulen in-game ship with LTI (in-game lifetime insurance) + Purple Haze paint
